my first digital scrapbook pages

OK, so after I posted my list of completed projects I realized I should really take some time to try my hand at digital scrapbooking. I already had PrintMaster Scrapbooking loaded on my computer and I had purchased several digital kits in the last few months. So here it is...my first 3 pages. I was actually finishing up Eddie's first year scrapbook (actual paper & pages scrapbook) when I thought I'd ad a little pizazz...actually I had accidentally skipped two pages and needed to 'fill' them up. Obviously these aren't perfect, I'm already seeing some edges that need cropped. But you get the idea!

On this one, Ambre is going to write in current events/pop misc. items from last year. (fave. TV shows, songs, prices of items, etc.)

And then I did one with an actual photo

So now I have so many questions...first of all Print Master Scrapbooking is OK, probably easy for beginners but it didn't let me crop exactly how I wanted to. Does anyone have a great program you use for digital scrap booking that is EASY and quick? Also, after you make a page what do you actually do with it? I'm sure I'm missing a lot of steps along the way but I want to actually have a book in the end! But, I think I could actually like this a lot.

I'm not sure how easy you'll think Photoshop Elements is, but that's what I started on. Now I use the Adobe Creative Suite, which costs about as much as my laptop ;)

(I got a FANTASTIC deal on it with a student discount!)

I'd say try Elements. Lots of sites have tutorials and there's a lot more you can do with it. It's an inexpensive version of Photoshop, under $100.

I've always wondered about digital scrapbooking. ??? It sounds like such a good idea!

Your pages are really cute. Keep us posted on what you find out and what you create! :)

Hey!

I just ordered some digital scrapbooking items myself. I am using Creative Memories as I used to be a consulting and believe in the products. I found an awesome store that has tons of China layouts and objects to add to a digital scrapbook if you are interested. How fun! I hope your first week of school goes well. I'm sorry your summer is over but sounds like you have been very productive this summer. Take care,

Tricia

You did a great job on your pages.

I use PhotoMix software for my digital scrapbooking. It is inexpensive and has wonderful templates and addins. Also has a support staff and tutorials to help you if you have questions or problems. It is very easy to use as well.

I would recommend it to everyone.

Happy Scrapbooking =)
