Molly's 7th Birthday

Molly turned 7 years old on September 19, 2015!  She requested a dinosaur themed party and I had fun looking up ideas and planning the party!

We started by making dino nests which were made from chow mein noodles, chocolate, and filled with candy eggs that I kept in the freezer from Easter.

She woke up to open a few presents!

She requested a bowl of cocoa puffs for breakfast, which I obliged.  But, she didn't actually like it...so we won't try that again!
I had "dino chicken" nuggets for the kids and marinated chicken tenders for the adults.
Dino Scales (chips) and Dino Claws (Bugles)
Dino Spikes (watermelon wedges) and Herbivore cups (ranch at the bottom and veggies above in a plastic shot glass cup)
Swamp Water (plain water) and Lava Juice (juice boxes)
 Dino Sandwiches
 Deviled Dino Eggs
 PB & J Sandwiches
 Ham & Cheese Sandwiches
Din
 Dino Tatoo Station
 Carpet Ball
We had the party at the pavilion of my neighbors church.  It was so nice not to have to worry about cleaning the house!  The kids liked playing outside and running around.

 The whole gang!

On the invitation we requested no gifts, instead to make a small contribution to the local animal shelter.  (I prompted and encouraged her to have a giving spirit and gave her some choices/suggestions on what to give the money to.  She decided on the animal shelter)
The day after her party we went to the animal shelter (which she loves to do...she gets to walk dogs) and she gave her donation.  It was about $100 all together!  We also had a few toys, dog treats, and dog food items to donate.

Her favorite part is walking lots of dogs, which we did!  Sometimes we'll take a few in the "private room".  She really falls in love with them, but knows that we can't get a dog right now.  I'm highly allergic to dogs and even more so to cats.  Our house is all carpeted and I need to get wood floors and a fenced in yard before we consider a pet:(

Finally we made a stop to Retro Sno, a great snow cone food truck in the area!  It was a gorgeous day to be outside!
