Split pants

Split pants...you got to love them!  I've seen more Asian hineys on this trip than I could ever imagine.

I don't really get the concept of split pants and the Chinese way of potty training, but it seems to work for them.  On that note Molly is really confused and has only peed once in 24 hours :(  I'm hoping she will be more comfortable tomorrow.  The guide said she didn't wear diapers in the orphanage and used the "potty"...I don't know how this works for a 20 month old but now she is more confused than ever.  Of course she hasn't gone #2 either.  I sat her on the potty, but she screamed.  I hope she doesn't get a bladder infections from holding it so long.  She is drinking enough water and tonight she drank a half glass of milk...from an adult glass!  She wouldn't take the bottle or sippy of milk.  But I digress...enjoy these pictures of cute bums today...

We were in France for 10 weeks and although they don't have the split pants concept, children and adult men pee anywhere. Yep.

Hope Molly will become a mean, lean pee'in machine soon!

I'm so, so happy that you finally have little Molly in your arms! Thanks for all the descriptive blogs. It really helps me appreciate some of the experiences we will (hopefully) be going through soon! Praying for you, Molly, and Eddie!

I loved those cute bums too. At least I saw one parent holding his son over a trash can while he went. You know there are some orphanages that use the whistle method for getting their kids to potty train. Let's hope that Molly was not in one of those. They put the kids on the potties and blow a whistle for them to go. How horrible. They say Molly is potty trained but in reality they probably had her sitting on the potty for a good portion of the day with the other kids. Well yes then anyone would be potty trained. prayers for her little system to get right. Don't let her go too long without intervening. I was so hard to watch Maggie go through constipation and then going. Sorry everyone for the potty talk. Love the pictures!

Ok, that might be my favorite post yet! We just laughed and lauged at the cute buns!

I hope all "goes" well for Molly and she uses the potty soon.

Blessings for continued health and bonding with Molly.

I've never heard of this concept! How interesting! When do they stop using diapers and begin with the split pants? How long do they wear them before regular undies?

Oh, you are more fortunate than we were. :) We didn't see as many tiny hineys as you have. We saw a few, but not as many since it was cooler than it is now when we traveled a month ago. Love the pics! Did anyone seem to mind you taking them?

So funny... I can't believe how many bums you saw in a day. Maybe we should try that concept in the US, it seems to work.
